Joelle's Bio

Joelle is a Speech-Language Pathologist with 6 years of experience supporting children and youth with a wide range of communication needs across preschool and school-based settings. She holds a Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Psychology from Concordia University and a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from McGill University.

Joelle’s practice is child-led, strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and family-centered. She is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where children feel seen, understood, and empowered, while collaborating with families to support communication in everyday routines.

 

She has additional training in Gestalt Language Processing (GLP), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Hanen parent trainings including More Than Words and It Takes Two to Talk. She is also currently pursuing additional training in executive functioning and interoception.

 

Bilingual in French and English, Joelle is excited to support children and families in the Ottawa community.
